What sets us apart is our commitment to curating intimate, personalized wine tour experiences that blend hand-picked wineries with the breathtaking beauty of the Okanagan Valley.

Why is sustainability important to you/your business?

Sustainability is a core value at Wicked Wine Tours. We recognize our responsibility as stewards of the environment and the impact our operations can have on the region’s delicate ecosystems, particularly given our business is visiting vineyards. By embracing sustainability, we aim to preserve the Okanagan Valley’s natural beauty and contribute to the long-term health of our community.

Why did you join GreenStep Sustainable Tourism?

Our dedication to sustainability led us to embrace the principles of GreenStep Sustainable Tourism. By being part of this movement, we align ourselves with like-minded businesses and contribute to a collective effort to minimize our ecological footprint. The audit assessments, consulting, and tools have been beneficial. It’s a conscious choice to ensure that the joy our tours bring doesn’t come at the expense of the environment.

What sustainability related projects, policies or initiatives do you most want travelers to know about?

We take pride in our commitment to eco-friendly practices. From minimizing single-use plastics during our tours to partnering with local, sustainable wineries, every detail is considered. Our collaborations with certified organic vineyards also showcase our dedication to promoting sustainable agricultural practices. We have eliminated paper from our operation, including all printers and toners.

What are some goals and/or actions you plan to take in the future to further increase the sustainability of your business?

Looking forward, our roadmap includes several initiatives to amplify our sustainability efforts. We are exploring incorporating electric vehicles into our fleet to reduce emissions. Collaborating with local environmental and charitable projects is always on our agenda. Moreover, we aim to educate and engage our team and guests in sustainable practices, fostering a Kelowna community that values and prioritizes environmental responsibility. At Wicked Wine Tours, we believe luxury can coexist harmoniously with sustainability. Our ongoing commitment is not just about providing memorable experiences but doing so in a way that leaves a positive, lasting impact on the environment and the communities we cherish.
